A comprehensive eye exam consists of a variety of tests that evaluate the health of your eyes and the clarity of your vision. Your exam may include a pupil dilation and test for visual acuity and refraction to determine the necessary lens power for your glasses prescription. It may also determine dry eye syndrome and color blindness.

Doing so can identify eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, macula degeneration, and other disorders that are often difficult to detect in early stages. Regular eye exams can help also ensure that your eye glass prescription is current and your vision is as clear as possible.
